What we’ve been working on.

Mid-century modern

These clients came looking for a furniture and design plan for their entry and living room. They were after a mid-century modern style to complement the era of their home.

We were able to create a space that is perfect for both entertaining and family life. We added a bespoke bar unit, wall lights, furniture, cushions (made here at EBD!), new carpet, and the most stunning Cole and Son forest wallpaper. We created a welcoming entry that connected to our client’s large and beautiful garden. We updated their kitchen splashback with penny round tiles which complimented the above additions to this beautiful, timeless home.

French Country

Our clients came to us with a big dream of wanting to turn an old building nestled into semi rural Manawatū into a bed and breakfast that could also be used as a wedding venue.

We completed an extensive interior design process, as every space needed to be carefully planned and all furniture and fittings needed to be thoughtfully considered.  We worked in collaboration with Emerge Architecture and Total Landscapes and were involved in the entire project from start to finish.

Project planning

Our initial consultation is an important step in our process for all new clients and we offer these free 15 minute chats up at our studio so that our new clients can meet our team, see our beautiful space and ask any burning questions that they may have. We feel privileged to have every single client who walks through our door and it’s really important that we connect with our clients as often we walk a journey with them for a number of years. If you would like to book in a free chat with one of our team, send us an email. We’d love to see you.

Built-in furniture

We absolutely love built-in furniture! This is the largest window seat we have ever installed - at 2.1 meters, it was a showstopper! This window seat and built-in desk turned an unusable area in a kitchen/dining room to a space that this young family used daily - they loved the connection it created from the kitchen island.  The rendering and elevations we created were an important visual step in our process, and these helped our clients to understand what the finished space would look like and we’re thrilled to say that we absolutely exceeded their expectations.

Art we love

Fleur Wickes is a clever local artist who is all sorts of wonderful!  What we love the most about her and her art is that there is a story behind all of her work - some of it is raw and brutally honest, and shows that you really can find beauty in any situation. If you’re ever in Whanganui - check out her studio… it’s filled with so many of her beautiful pieces.
