These retired vessels for transporting goods became the solution for our clients desire to add to the rentable space of their property

As we have seen in recent times, a shipping container's residence no longer has to be aboard a ship.  This includes two Shipping Containers who now find themselves proudly residing on a property in land-locked Palmerston North. These retired vessels for transporting goods became the solution for our clients desire to add to the rentable space of their property. With the primary objective of increasing the number of rentable bedrooms on the property, the addition of these containers facilitated the creation of two extra living quarters.

Each container was lined, insulated and fitted with windows and doors, transforming them into comfortable and functional bedrooms. An ablutions block housing a shower and water-closet was strategically placed nearby to ensure convenience for occupants.

This project also included site planning for new decking, screening for privacy around the ablutions block, and the laying of pavers to connect these outhouses back to the main dwelling.

This comprehensive approach has resulted in the maximization of the properties rental potential and value while ensuring a functional and aesthetic appeal remains.
