It was a transformative endeavour, blending urban sophistication with rural tranquillity, promising a lifestyle where gatherings with friends were central.

Two socialites from Wellington sought new career opportunities in Manawatu, opting for a slower lifestyle on a picturesque property with a private pond. Their vision for the home was clear: a welcoming haven for entertaining friends with spacious, conversational furniture layouts and a central kitchen acting as the heart of the house. Emphasising warmth and brightness, they opted for a textural palette of whites across all design elements, ensuring each space exuded a cosy yet contemporary feel.

The project included a redesign of the master bedroom and a luxurious ensuite, as well as meticulous planning for the main bathroom, large kitchen, and rough layouts for the dining and lounge areas. The addition of double-glazed windows and doors enhanced both energy efficiency and comfort, though the project's completion remains uncertain following the building consent phase.

It was a transformative endeavour, blending urban sophistication with rural tranquillity, promising a lifestyle where gatherings with friends were central.

Whether the dream home that combined practicality with aesthetic appeal became a reality is uncertain, but the meticulous attention to detail and vision for a vibrant social hub resonated throughout the design process.
